Tell the story. I hope it involves some TNT!

I live in the country, and.those water rats have built a series of dams in the creek that runs along the road.  When it rains my road.floods because water is backed up.  My neighbor is a squirrel and birdie lover type.  So I take my aganst out on those beavers.  TNT sounds goods, first beavers in space.

Beavers, a blessing and a curse.  I had a fraternity brother that waged an all-out war on some beavers on his farm.  I think he would tell you that they are much tougher than you would think.  Godspeed.

Tougher than raccoons. Flooded an entire bottom on our farm once a year. Needed a trapper. Blowing things up doesn't work as well.

Thank Gawd, you clarified the OP statement.  For a while there, I was thinking you were one of those "special people" who like to bobble instead of dive.

Beaver's are awesome and contribute greatly to the ecosystem.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Unless they dam the creek to your pond...serious consequences here.  They're tough to trap, and it's not safe to shoot them while they're in the water (where you usually see them)--have had more than one ricochet come way too close...

My neighbor bent to community pressure and had a trapper catch them and tore out the damns.  Yeah.  I still don't like.real beavers.

Fact:  Beavers as in the slang term are 100's of times more common than real beavers.
