Lot's of great "The Word" nominees in here. I especially like how he was wondering about this place's business model. I can only assume he was confounded that gE.c is not subscription based.
Also, he talks about how people with jobs can't afford to be bbs'n and stuff, when he posted it at 3:40 this afternoon.
That board is a friggin' nightmare. Call me a shirt tuck if you want. It's just too much stinking work. It's like it's written in code. Everyone acts like they know what the other people are talking about, but I don't know if any of them really do. You can't tell what is serious and what isn't. The only way you can possibly know what the heck is going on is to be on there constantly. Definitely not for the guy that wants to catch up a couple times a week or even daily.
Nobody ever comes out and says something straight forward. They always link something that you have to read and then try to draw conclusions on what the heck they are trying to infer or state something cryptically like you should all know what's going on. If there is a business model, I don't know how that works. Most of us with jobs don't have time for that crap. Not to mention the threads are a hundred pages long. I don't have any idea how people keep track of what they read or haven't read. I used to get some amusement out of some of the cleverness. There were/are some truly funny people over there, but as far as getting any useful information, it's just not worth the effort.
Call me a tuck. I've given up.
