Which one?
« on: October 13, 2013, 09:25:47 AM »
Quote
Kansas State Head Coach LHC Bill Snyder
Opening statement…
“I was really pleased with the effort of our football team. With one exception in the entirety of the ballgame, I thought we played as hard as we have at any time during the course of the year. We played as physical as we have at any point and time during the year. I think at the end of the day, it comes down to mistakes. We made four mistakes defensively in the first half of the ballgame and those cost us 21 points. I thought, considering who we played, we played awfully well defensively. Like we said in Tuesday’s press conference, Baylor was a big-play offense and you cannot afford to give up the big plays. If you take away their big plays, it is a different ballgame. But by the same token, you cannot turn the ball over. We only turned it over one time, which was an improvement, but it came at a bad time, quite obviously. Again, I do not fault our effort. We just have to keep trying to get better.”

Probably Baylor's last touchdown run.

Snyder is an offense guy. I'm betting he's talking about not getting that 4th and short in the first half.

He appeared to be angry at Hubert on that play.

He should've been. Hubert paused like he was going to make a cut on a 4th and short. Get vertical and get one yard.

Stupid call to begin with. 1 Possession in the 1st? Take the 3. Would have negated having to go for 2 twice, 5 points left on the field.

He emphasized the MysPlay twice in the first minute of his tv show.  Still no indication what it was.

Hubert has never done that once in his whole career.

I agree. Still, it would have been nice to see Hubert bail him out of the poor decision.

He specifically addressed the three plays where we let them run right by us in post game presser, think it was in a later quote

Thank god he didn't forget...

Probably Baylor's last touchdown run.

i was furious when this happened. baylor lined up in a tackle over to the defense's left side, where truman was, and then we send truman on an A-gap blitz and don't even try to disguise it, which completely takes him out of the play. plus they pulled the right side guard so that leaves a 1 tech and a 5 tech to stop a running back with four linemen in total blocking them, and zimmerman is 12 yards off the ball with no chance. slaughter is probably supposed to read his guard and fill on the left side but that obviously didn't happen, the RB was past him before he knew what was going on.

that had to have been a missed call or blown alignment/assignment or something. when i saw it in person it instantly looked obvious that we had no one on that side to stop anything.
