What does that have to do with 1 basketball player who liked ku?

You attempt to paint a picture that EVERYONE who visits Lawrence absolutely loves it and imply that no one ever loves Manhattan.

Au contraire, 'Paddy Cakes.  Any time I bring up the fact that Lawrence is a cool college town, you try to downplay it and pretend like it's just the same as anywhere else.  People love Manhattan as well... it's just a little different than Lawrence.

I don't at all disagree that Lawerence is nice college town . . . but you, like most ku people try to build it up into something that it's not.  The feelings of one kid aren't going to change my opinion, and knowing (after years of observation) how ku people overtly demand that people recognize Lawrence as "Great College Town", there's no doubt that the kid was caught in the sales job and/or was brow beat into the recognition.   18 year old guys are easily influenced by their first taste of freedom and jersey chasing fillies.
