Whenever I go to a bar/restaurant and I want to order a beer I make a trip to said bar and take a look at whats on tap rather than make my server rattle them all off. There is also a good chance that the server will first list Bud Light and other water beers and ignore the good beers that non-poors drink.

This is a good strategy. I often find that the servers don't even know what beers are listed on menu.

"hi, what kind of beers do you have on tap?"

"we have yuengling, coors light, bud light, mich ultra, boulevard, bodingtons, umm..."

"okay, hmm, what about bottles?"

"much of the same, but we also have corona, sam adams, heineken, labatt, and, let's see here. oh, we also have..."

"wait, did you say you have labatt on tap?"

"no"

"ok, i'll just take a water for now -- OH! And with lemon!"

Lets say you're strolling into Little Caesars at non-peak hours.  No customers inside and the pizzas have likely been sitting for too long.  You're afraid you will get an old shitty pizza (FYI - they're supposed to remove them after half an hour) but you don't want to spring the extra couple dollars to get a specialty pizza made on the spot.  After all, you went there for a $5 pizza.  Well, here's how you can guarantee you get a fresh $5 hot and ready pizza.

Ask for one with either less sauce or extra sauce.  No charge and they have to make it fresh.  It will take about 6-7 minutes, but it's worth the wait to guarantee you get a pizza fresh out of the oven.  If they are busy, you don't really need to worry about this happening because chances are you're getting something that's either straight from the oven or less than five minutes old.

If you are getting a Little Caesar's Hot n' Ready, the ship has already sailed on you getting a shitty pizza.

Hey, everyone's got an opinion.  Little Caesars is certainly not the best pizza in the world, but for the price it can't be beat.  I worked there for awhile and I can say that, relative to other fast food, it's pretty high quality stuff.  The pizza and crazy bread dough is always freshly made on site, they don't use Grade D Taco Bell meat and the sauce is also constantly made fresh in the store.
