Random NCAA faculties question: Courts
« on: March 24, 2013, 09:39:03 PM »
Are these new courts that the NCAA has put in these various facilities or are they the same home court with a black applique around and NCAA applique in the center?  The reason I ask is that it seems like a lot of guys are slipping in these games like its a fresh surface.

KU is right on par with Notre Dame ... when it comes to adding additional conference revenue

They refinish every single court and then stain/paint them all the same.

New courts. Fun fact: winner gets to keep the FF court.

I really don't like it, wish they would just keep the normal courts at the hosting sites.  Only use the dumb NCAA courts at venues that don't normally host basketball games.

What do you even do with something like that?

Florida: "hey, it would be cool if we played on the court we won the title on"
Kansas: "holy crap, we need money bad, think we can make a buck off this thing?"

Yep.

All of that stuff is under the finish though, people aren't slipping on stickers. I don't notice any more slips in the tourney than I do in the regular season. If there are venues with slipping issues, again I don't think that is true, I'd look at places like San Jose where the floor is on top of ice.
