Financial Impact of NCAA Success
« on: March 25, 2010, 11:24:50 AM »
Recently read an article in Ingram's (KC Business Magazine) about the $$$ impact of being in the NCAA tourny.

A few points:

Big XII will divide (equally) $17.9 million in 2010 from appearances in the 2009 NCAA tournament; approx. 1.4 mil/school.
Distributions are also payed (unequally) based on surviving and advancing.  MU and OU both received an additional $900,000 for making the Elite 8 in 2009.

My question is how much $$$ is payed out for Final Fours and Championships?
