Dowdle will also work with several other Kansas State sports, oversee special projects and equipment operations, and the coordinate department communication with the KSA Board of Directors.
Athletic director John Currie announced the hiring Thursday.
Dowdle has spent the past five seasons working with the Bowling Green football program, the past two as assistant athletic director. He's also worked in the athletic department at Tennessee.

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Clint Dowdle, current Assistant Athletics Director for
Football at Bowling Green, has been named Assistant Athletics Director for
Administration, Kansas State Athletics Director John Currie announced
today.

In his new role, Dowdle will be a member of Currie's senior staff
and serve as the daily sport liaison for the football program. In addition,
Dowdle will support the daily operations of several other sports as well as
equipment operations while also managing special projects and coordinating
department communication with the KSA Board of Directors.

"Clint is a dynamic young professional who will bring tremendous energy to our staff," said Currie. "He has an extensive background working with football in an administrative capacity and will be a terrific fit for K-State. I appreciate the work done in this search by committee chair Laird Veatch and committee members Sean Snyder, Jill Shields, Lindsey Babcock and Casey Scott in organizing and successfully carrying out this national search."

Dowdle currently is beginning his fifth year overall as the director of football operations at Bowling Green State University and his second as an Assistant Athletics Director for Football.

"I am absolutely thrilled to become a member of the Kansas State Athletics Department," Dowdle said. "I am thankful to John Currie and the rest of the senior management team for providing me with this great opportunity. The substantial success of K-State Athletics, under the direction of John and leadership of President Schulz, has been remarkable, and I have long admired Coach Snyder and the principles of his program. This is a special time at K-State, and I am grateful for the opportunity to become a member of the Wildcat family."

At BGSU, Dowdle has overseen external and internal operations
for the football program and is a member of the department's senior staff. In
this role, he works closely with the development, marketing, and external
relations of the athletic department and specifically as it relates to football.
He also spear-headed the Locker Room Renovation Project in 2012 and established
the Gridiron Classic in 2009.

Prior to arriving at Bowling Green, Dowdle served as a Graduate Assistant at
the University of Tennessee before being hired as the assistant director of
football operations. The Memphis, Tenn., native earned his business management
degree in 2005 from Christian Brothers University, where he was a four-year
basketball starter and three year captain. He led the team in minutes, assists
and steals all four years and twice was named Academic All-Gulf South
Conference. Dowdle earned his master's degree in Sport Management from The
University of Tennessee in 2007.

Dowdle captured high school All-State honors in both basketball and football at Evangelical Christian School, quarterbacking ECS to a pair of football state titles while earning Tennessee's Mr. Football Back of the Year award his senior season. In addition, the Memphis Commercial Appeal selected Dowdle to its Best of Preps list in both basketball and football three times and named him its 2000-01 Male Athlete of the Year.

Wonder how much searching was actually done...the job was posted on kstatesports.com for a while and I'm sure they posted it on the NCAA website as well.

They're typically obligated to post openings on the national NCAA AD association website. All openings have to be posted for like 4-8 weeks. Stupid EOE rules
