Awful officiating and ruining of a game. Bob's only hope was to tear the game apart and he bullied his way through the officials and the officials responded in kind taking any and all flow out of the game. The Cats played good enough offense and handled WVU's muddying up of the game well enough to win comfortably, even if WVU scored the last 10 meaningless points.

I don't miss having games like that on a regular basis.

Amazing how every once in a while a group of college referees will take it upon themselves to completely ruin an entire game of basketball.

29 freaking fouls called in the 2nd half.... yet the last 8 minutes of the game, the refs refuse to call anything on WV (Ksu 7 fouls WV 0)

Finally had that game where we turned the ball over too much and Angel played too sloppy.  Glad that our shooting and FTs were on to counter it

19-23 FTs.   Keep this up. I dont think Will even touched the rim on his 7 tries.
 Last 7 games, 77.0% (97-126)

24-6 run over 11.5 minutes and this game was never in doubt

Also nice to see us with good OR numbers.    Last 7 games we are at 37.7%.   Opp. getting 34.7%.   I will take +3.0% anyday

Honestly, I was most disappointed to lose the 20 point lead and padding efficiency differential stats.

Also, nice to see Sprads, Nino, and Gip have good games to go along with solid play from Angel and JO. Rod struggling a bit shooting, but he'll be fine.

same, but for art and team turnovers

Took a 2 spot drop in kenpom. :(

I agree though, _FAN. Nino stood out for me too. It was nice to see him shoot the ball with some confidence in the midrange game. He has a pretty soft shot. Hopefully he can keep it going, his contributions were really key in the Okie State game.

Yea, it was almost unwatchable.  Big 12 refs used to be even more whistle happy, but it seems like the conference emphasized calling less fouls after 2010-2011 and the number of foul calls dropped by 2-3 per game in the next season.  Number of calls hasn't really changed between last season and this one.  We still have 2-3 more calls per game than Big 10, although that could be a tempo/play-style thing. http://statsheet.com/mcb/conferences/big-12/referees?season=2012-2013

The number of fouls called was out of control in 2009-2010 and 2010-2011.  Anyone remember the 68 foul game against CU in 2010 or the 73 free throw in 73 possessions game vs Mizzou about a week earlier?

Zacker, what is the likelihood this team goes 2-3 down the stretch and coasts to an 8 seed?

how many games did we play that were THAT ugly?  WVU's FT rate of 121 in a Half that they were down by 20 is absurd.

Its something I don't really miss at all. I can do without 2 and a half hour basketball games.
