Everyone I know put them in on the side of their eye. I would put them in right on my pupil. Like, stare at my finger the entire time it was coming toward and touching my eye.

You're the kind of crazy ass that would never even consider turning during a game of chicken (hot rod or tractor).

these damn things are making my eyes feel very tired.

Yes.  That's why I stopped.  It got worse as I got older.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

I just put them straight in, maybe look up a little bit so my pupil is up toward my eyelid. Once in a great while they get kind of stuck to my eye and it takes a few tries to get them out. It is really annoying when the contact gets stuck folded up under your eyelid and I can't find it and you don't know if it is still in your eye or not.
