If K-State loses to KU on Tuesday, oscar's record will be 15-3 through his first 18 games with one win over a top 10 team.

Anybody wanna guess where he was at this point last year with Illinois?

I do, I do!!  Was it the same??  :dunno:
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

Wow boy was I wrong.  I take back everything I ever said about oscar being a slow cancer that destroys once proud programs.

There is no cause to take that back yet.

I think that was the joke.

No one owes oscar anything. At this point he's doing his job and meeting expectations, he has a long way to go to exceed them.

That said, you can express a little bit of gratitude toward oscar, but an apology at this point is silly.

JMHO.

In your opinion, what would he have to do this season that would earn an apology from goEMAW. Final 4? Big 12 title? NC? Anything?

Big 12 title OR Elite 8.

I would've expected a really good season with Frank this year, but a league title or Elite 8 would've been overachieving.

JMHO.

Any of the above warrant a sincere apology.

And Big 12 hardware or final four earns an enthusiastic apology

Elite 8 gets a sincere but begrudging "sorry"

Anything less is wait and see, you could still be who I thought you are territory

Who would be our 20 point loss to Nebraska?

Texas

The silver lining (for me) in Barnes getting fired would be to see who would be interested in the UT job. They'd have the money to get whoever they wanted, I just don't know how many good coaches would be interested in a school that doesn't care in the least about basketball if it meant a big paycheck. Also, would Texas even WANT to spend a lot of money on a basketball coach? I don't know! But it'd be fun to find all these things out.

Buzz would be a good hire but I fear he might turn it down,  partly for the lack of enthusiasm you pointed out.   Would not be a good look for the conference if our flagship job is turned down by a guy at a MM.

Doesn't WVU hate him for country western dancing on their court after Marquette beat them?
