I agree. I got Mrs. michigancat a gift certificate for a locally made purse that she designs. Went pretty well.

Normally I hate gift cards (it's like hey, here's some money that you can only spend in one place because all I care to know about you is that is a store you were in at least once).

But that is a solid gift.

My mom likes horses and tack and stuff. So I bought her an old camel saddle and had our brand put on it.
