Statistically speaking, we've got two of the worst Big 12 defenses on the remaining schedule in Baylor and Texas.  Oklahoma State is improved but I'm not sure how much improved.  TCU has good defensive numbers but I think they're vulnerable (like Tech) only with TCU it's because of youth on their defense (very young).

Early on I noticed a lot of sets with the TE covered up by the split end on the same side of the formation, leaving a tackle on the other end of line.  It allowed TTU to confidently put 8 in the box and not worry about a 5th option for Klein.  We seemed to have very little success with it early, but I don't really remember if we continued to do that later in the game.  I don't think we did, but can anyone confirm?

This offense is really incredible. They can get it done so many different ways.

Yes, on our 2nd possession the first 3 plays came from unbalanced formations with the TE to the same side as twin WRs with 2 backs. We actually gained 16 yards on those 3 plays, so it wasn't terrible. We ran 3 more plays from the same formation later on in the game and gained 16 more yards. 3 power plays, a speed option, and a play action pass for 32 yards. It ended up being decently successful, but based on that possession it seemed like we thought we could get something from it, but then went away from it and came back to it later.

The offense finished at 6.8 yards per play and .87 points per play for the game, of course that was helped by Brown's TD return.

Maybe a LFIQ ? here...I was sitting in the endzone and noticed that on alot of formations we would have a huge gap between the guard and tackle and the guard would be right next to the center.

It depends on the play, but varying your splits can give you advantages because for the most part an offense has a really good idea where the defense is going to line up going into the game. For example, I will break down a couple of Klein's big runs off of zone read while reading the defensive tackle from this game in _FANframes later on. If you know the DT will line up on the outside shoulder of a guard (you might hear this alignment called a "3 tech"), it makes sense for the offensive tackle to that side to widen his split. That gives the tackle an opportunity to get to his block easier, and a bigger space for the guard to avoid the defensive tackle (he will be unblocked as the read guy) and get to a linebacker. Sometimes its also fairly simple; if you are running a play to the outside it makes sense to tighten your splits to compress the defense, if you are running inside the tackles you widen your splits, because you spread the defense out and get better blocking angles.

I noticed bigger splits in between certain O-linemen as well.  I was wondering if this is just another head game "schemes" thing that Bill or Dickey started implementing.

Oh man how awesome would it be if he could get to 3000/1000/40 I mean there's like a 1% chance of that happening but what if....

I think Klein will throw for about 2800 but I'm not sure if he runs quite as much this year.
