This is so correct.
There are a couple options here aside from full repeal, which cannot happen because there will be too much politicking. There is no "reconciliation" to repeal it. Too much entitlement residual will stick around.
Nullification. Of course that doesn't get rid of the infrastructure at the federal level. Some states will still be sucking tax dollars.
Constitutional Convention. Never been in favor of this, because when that happens, then anything goes. However, at this point, I'm not sure there is any way to avoid that.
Of course there is always the option of full revolution. It's going to happen eventually. This pretty much ensures that Greece-like budget problems strike us. When people lose their toys, something nasty will happen.
