Levon Helm is (was?) the rough ridin' man. I am real sad now.

By the way, his autobiography is rough ridin' incredible. Absolutely worth the 12 bones. There's probably nobody else I'd rather  :drink: with and listen to their stories, holy crap.

You just did yourself the biggest favor of your life.  Levon Helm is one of the coolest motherfrackers who ever lived. I mean, he grew up in freaking TURKEY SCRATCH, ARKANSAS.

WUT.

Levon Helm  :frown:

FWIW I hate this shitty article, "America was broken and on the verge of anarchy and total societal breakdown, cannibalism was literally weeks away.  The Beatles were not even going to play new music on tour!!!!  Then some mediocre band released an album and rough ridin' saved us all."

FYP, but yeah Charles Pierce kinda sucks.  Mostly liked the headline, not so much the article.

I was a little kid when that guy was the Chiefs announcer and simply because he was affiliated with a big, bad pro franchise I thought he was THE BEST rough ridin' THING IN THE WORLD.  Turns out he is not.
