I have noticed that when Angel misses FTs, they are almost always long. Even on his makes, he seems to hit the back part of the rim on almost all of them. Not too many swishes or ones that hit the front part of the rim and crawl over.
I don't know if he is just so juiced up that he can't relax enough and he shoots the ball slightly long each time or what. I would not mind seeing him move back 2-3 inches off of the actual FT line and just shoot the exact same way he is now.
He was 24-28 in non con play. Very solid. But just 25-49 in conf play. A lot of his long jump shots are long when he misses too. Now long jumpshots are different than a set 15 foot shot with no one in your face, but the being long is a trend with him
Gruds is shooting 85.2% (52-61) and Sprads is 83.3% (40-48) in conf play. It would be nice if we could get Angel to be a good FT shooter going forward and into next season. Right now those 3 guards are shooting almost half of our FTs in conf (about 10 of 21.5 ave FTA). 82-84% from that trio would go a long ways to help us be above 70% as a team
