I hear age 30 and 50?  Or maybe it was just 50?

The more you poop the more you release free radicals, which is good for the prostate I hear.

44 and never had one. I do like the sounds of the prostate milking, though.

All I'm saying is I am switching to a chick doctor when it comes time for this. Doctor PBB looks to have pretty large mitts.

I think it's 50.  Also a good time to get your first colonoscopy.

They can dissect mine when I'm dead.  Until then it will continue to enjoy its privacy.   :nono:

Was not prepared. So, I'd advised being prepared. Like, mentally. Not sure how to go about that, though.

did you feel violated? or relieved like when you take a poop?

"Rudely surprised" might be a better term. Had no idea it was going to be part of my checkup. But suddenly he was all "elbows on the table" and a glove snapped and there was vaseline or something. It happened so fast.  :frown:

But seriously, I was all uncomfortable and got out super fast and left the office with a still-squishy butt.

Pretty accurate before and after (right down to the eyes):

Thought you had to cleanse the bowels or not eat or something for 24 hours beforehand?

I didn't get a colonoscopy or anything. Then again, not 40 yet, so maybe there's worse to come? :ohno:

Catheters suck.  They put you to sleep for a colonoscopy.

If you feel a hand on each shoulder while the exam is ongoing, get out of there.

not really true and depends drastically on who you see and what country you live in. the actual procedure is easy. the night before is horrific.

Not planning on having one for awhile, but had a hemorrhoid clot up and burst awhile back.  Went to the doc and the aide took a look, went and got the nurse practitioner to take a look, who went and got a doctor to take a look.  I was all, "Hey, why don't you just take me out into the waiting area and show everyone while you're at it!"  Doc stuck a finger up there to check for any others (there weren't, thank God).  That thing bled for almost a week.  Had to run around with gauze in my crack the whole time.
