Still  at the cards though.  With the Angels now bidding on him too, they are going to have to pay way more than they would of if they just gave him what he wanted last off season.

in the sense that they committed to $25mil(avg.) for Pujols when he'll be 42 years old.

I don't know if his contract is front loaded or not though.

Having said that, St. Louis saved a TON of cash and are looking at some good crap to come out of this. Sad to see Albert go, wish him no ill will, but eff we might make out like bandits.
