Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

While seeing Arthur's name on that is an absolute blast, and somewhat taken for granted, I can't take my eye(s) off of Darious.

Mixed emotions.

I think Kibble and Guidry will both start at DT.

Are we finally post-Hrebek?  Is this turd going to get snaps?  Also, is there any sense that Arthur's production might be disappointing to LFBIQ smelly losers at gpc because our scheme/personnel (specifically secondary, line and other linebackers) sucks?

Thanks, I'll listen off the air.

Hrebek will get plenty of snaps, barring injury. He sucks, but he's still better than the majority of our linebackers.

Looks like we are pretty stacked on D.   BTW I've been hearing great things about Dold from spring ball. Apparently he's added a lot of muscle and strength but also slimmed down and added speed. Don't be surprised if he challenges Burns and Tysyn for 2nd string FS.

Also heard Blake Slaughter was injured for much of last season and was playing at about 75%. If he's back to 100% (all signs point to yes) then look for him to move up the depth chart at WLB.

I've heard good things about Daily. I think he will start over chapman at cb.

I've also been hearing similar things. Look for Daily to move past chapman on the depth chart before conference play.

Not likely that this defense will do something that has never been done in the history of college football - going from one of the worst defensive teams in every category to one of the best without any changes to the team beyond a couple of key additions.
cosh coached D = Still going to rough ridin' suck.

Have to be honest, not sure who to believe here.  :dunno:
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever
