$10,000?

A late 60's Jaguar. Orange full stack. I haven't been in the pedal game for a while, but I know there are a few smaller companies doing some pretty crazy crap, so probably a lot of those.

you're better than this.

Kat Kid would you get a new strat or used 50s/60s? There's a lot of Strat options

That was a pretty easy way out... here:

Don't know about overdrive pedal. Like my hughes kettner tube factor, but find it a little clean. would probably have to be a combo of things.

Then pedal box and cables.

Guys, I know Jaguars are cool because they look a little different and are vintage and whatever, but they are kind of shitty guitars and I don't understand the love for them.
:adios:

I think Asava would do great with that set up.  I just think he'd really be happier with a good strat and is just trying to be a bit contrarian.

First off, that's a jazzmaster. Second off, jaguars have a distrinct and separate sound from a strat. Not particularly fond of strats.

First off we clearly were talking about your first post.  Second yes that is what we were talking about.  Third!   :curse:

Let me rephrase that: jag's have a separate and distinct sound from the strat that I enjoy playing more. Strats are great guitars, but I don't particularly play solos or look to do traditional song writing, and don't really look to the strat as the answer to the particular tone I want to create while playing. The Dot I posted would take care of anything the jazzmaster wouldn't, and would allow more flexibility than just getting a strat.

Also, I'm attempting to learn lap slide guitar. Does anyone have any tips?

that's not just any big muff. those things are pretty legendary. still not an overdrive, though, and it isn't the only sound i would want when things get loud.
