Hello everyone,It is not often that we get to play at a cemetery, and it is not often that we have a new album coming out. Very soon, though, those things will be happening within a couple of days of each other. So we decided to do something to mark the events. At the aforementioned cemetery (the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles) on April 23rd, there will be a sort of art installation for our new album (which is called "Take Care, Take Care, Take Care" and which comes out on April 18th in the UK, April 25th in Europe, and April 26th in the US and Canada). The event will be called "Taking Care: 6 Visual Interpretations," and that is indeed pretty much what it sounds like--at six different locations around the cemetery, there will be a station that includes speakers playing one of the new songs from the new album, along with a work of art that was inspired by that particular song. Each piece of art was done by a different artist in the medium of their choice. The event starts at 8:00 PM, and the cemetery closes at 11:00 PM (so you can come at any time during those hours). Admission is free if you RSVP, which you can do so here. Here are the artists' names and the track name for which they did artwork: Last Known Surroundings -- Matthew LessnerHuman Qualities -- James FieldsTrembling Hands -- Matt AmatoBe Comfortable, Creature -- Jesse FlemingPostcard from 1952 -- Chris LipomiLet Me Back In -- Alexis Disselkoen We are pretty excited about the whole thing. We will be leaving in a few days to start playing some shows again. It has been too long, and we hope to see a lot of you out there.Love, Explosions **************************************************************************************Follow Explosions in the Sky:www.facebook.com/ExplosionsInTheSkyMusicwww.twitter.com/EITSwww.myspace.com/ExplosionsInTheSky
