we know from experience how awesome a matchup Wisky is for us.

 :goodbyecruelworld:

it's very hard to beat a good team twice in a four-year span

almost impossible really

Ooh, nice outfit. What is that, Dacron?

This year's team and Beas' team are nothing alike.

kenpom/rpi is pretty much worthless here unless you think that the quality of their opponents is comparable to the quality of ours.  i don't.  at all.  the selection committee got usu's seed right.  we should be able to stomp on them.

i looked at a few minutes of an espn3 game.  they don't look good enough to be a 12 seed, to be honest.  they look easy to guard, sloppy with the ball, passive on defense and not particularly talented.

i want to see more, to try and resolve the discrepancy between how they look and their ratings, but i just can't imagine them beating kstate, unless they have a ftrate of like a 100 or something.

they do kill the dboards, though.  5 guys, pretty much every shot.

they have a guy that's like a white jamar samuels clone.  pretty funny, though he doesn't run right for a samuels.

Good observos.

They rate well because they are 30-3, they killed a lot of the teams they played while forcing them into ridiculously low shooting percentages, they don't give up offensive rebounds at all, and Stew Morrell is a very good coach for that level of basketball. But they have plenty of flaws and don't present any of the match-up issues that I'd be most concerned about, especially long guards with the ability to drive and score.

It will be interesting to see how Frank attacks their weird 3-2 match-up zone.

it seemed like the corners were wide open, but their opposition (boise st) didn't try to run anyone down there.  their wings are short and don't seem to cover a ton of ground.  i'd think that mcgruder and spradler could shoot the cover off two or three balls against that.

would like to see what they look like against a team that puts a shooter in the corner though.

Toughest, hardest, hellbracket I've ever seen in the history of brackets including conference and pre-season tourny brackets and also NBA playoffs.   :dubious:

Agreed. I would even bet two teams from our bracket make the Elite 8, and one makes the Final 4. Am I out of line?

If you were to split up the teams in our hellbracket amongst the other brackets our bracket's teams would end up fielding the entire sweet 16  :dubious:
