I think we'll find some scoring, we'll be competitive. Frank's teams will always play hard and compete.
But we have to find a replacement for Jake. When games become possession by possession games in the last 5 minutes, we pretty much turn it over to Jake, run some sets, and if we don't get a wide open look we play Jake off a ball screen at about 10 seconds and let him do something. It won the games vs ISU and NU. It didn't against aTm and CU.
Next year we'll have to find the replacement, and that will be tough. And not having someone step up to replace Jake could be the difference between what we are now and being like Oklahoma State. This will be the key.
The downfall of Wooly IMHO was not having those types of playmakers to make plays consistently in games that came down to the last 5 minutes, and too often those were losses. Jake has been doing that lately, and we'll have to replace that. Just look at OSU, Tech, ISU and even NU last night and see what happens when you don't have that.
