Possible lock-out good for uk basketball.
« on: May 12, 2010, 12:01:11 PM »
Anybody catch massa Seff on KK yesterday talking about Selby...  He was almost giddy over the fact an NBA lock-out would force "one-and-dones" like him to stay at school longer.

Ruthless...

Would def relieve him of the criticism of not letting Selby go one-and-done under normal circumstances.  I mean, if Selby is better than Mike Jordan(as we have all been lead to believe), how could he not go pro after one year if it wasn't due to a selfish coach or a lockout?  This makes it a moot point.

Bill Self --> :pbj: :excited:

He should probably just go the Brandon Jennings route and play in Europe. Not even give Self a chance to lock the shackles.

Gotta be the best possible path.

Selby's already taking a summer vacation in those domes.  It's gonna get ugly next season when he's tea-bagging Pullen like a $2 whore.

Yeah, it was very clear yesterday that Selby is far better than Pullen.

Thankfully Bob Knight is not an NBA GM or Sprads going pro would be a good move.

As for Selby, the guy is one horrible defender, absolutely zero defensive court awareness.

I don't understand why more guys like Selby don't just go to Europe for a year. To be honest, it's probably better for his development than hanging with guys like Mario Little and the Morris' in Lawrence (although, we are talking about a cultural mecca that rivals Paris). Going to Italy or wherever, a place that won't just have all the coeds and fans on his jock is better for him and I'd say makes him more prepared for the NBA.

Brandon Jennings did it and he turned out alright. Jennings > anyone off ku's 2008 team
