Early phantom fouls against our best shooters will put us in an early hole. We'll make a run to end the first half and go in down by 9. KU will come out hot in the second half and go up 15. K-state will battle back to get it to 6 and a string of phantom calls giving KU multiple three point plays will put them over the top. KU by 22.
The foul count will look even at the end of the game but all of the fouls on K-State will be shooting fouls. All of the fouls against KU will be on the floor, thus keeping us off the line. Doesn't matter though, as we can't make a free throw to safe a life.
Oh, and there will be a lot of booing among the KU fanbase.
It's a script the Big 12 has stuck to for a long time. Why change it now?
