Should Frank take the shackles off the guards

Seems like any time a guard other than Pullen drives the lane and puts up a shot they get the old stare down followed by the punitive substitution and tongue lashing. 

I think its fairly obvious that Kelly and Samuels are the only threats to create a shot on the block.  It seems like our other guards (mainly talking about Russell and Irving) are talented enough to get into the lane and put up a shot that can usually draw iron or even occasionally go in.  If CK and Samuels aren't playing this seems like a far better option than watching Freddy shoot FT's or Judge and JHR throwing the ball to the other team.

Is it time to take off the shackles off and loosen the offense up to more of a "street ball" kind of game.  Let the bigs without the offensive skill set crash the glass (CK and Samuels are good at this as well even though they can score back to the basket) rather than force them to make decisions with the ball in their hands?  Plus it gets the other guards involved at a level other than passing and shooting 20 foot jumpers.

The only problem with this that I foresee is run outs the other way when none of the guards remember one needs to stay back (I think this happened a lot against UF or UNLV).

Irving and Russell have demonstrated offensive skill.  Just wonder if Frank "D" Martin keeps them on the bench for playings subpar defense?  Agreed that these two are presently unrealized potential.

I think the drive to turnover ratio is too high for the other guards right now.  When these guys make good decisions they are fine, either with a pull-up jump shot or getting all the way to the rim.  For several games the little 12-15 foot pull up jumper was the only shot Russell could make. The problem is too often, especially for Russell, that he drives and throws up some sort of forced, unbalanced shot.  Or for Irving is that he penetrates and turns the ball over when the defense collapses. Neither has learned to make good enough decisions with the ball and with Frank getting on the guys for not passing/moving the ball on offense, this isn't going to fly.

guess I don't see the benefit of a big making a TO over a guard making a TO

I kinda thought that's what we were doing now, but I'm really lbbiq. How would you hbbiq types describe our offensive scheme?
