I love kenpom, but if someone used the "close wins over bad teams" talking point on this board as the reason that we were overrated, they would (or at least should) be PI'd mercilessly.

no they wouldn't.  that's exactly what people have been posting for the last 3 weeks (that and the corollary, not-so-close loss to a good team), and pretty much everyone has agreed.

There's been that, but there's also been a lot of "this is the time of year Frank fucks around and creates drama so as to motivate the team later", and a lot of "who the eff knows?". I'd probably argue about a hundred other reasons why we may be overrated before I'd hang my hat on non-con win/loss margins.
