My bro has been hyping the crap out of this lately.  I hope it lives up to the hype, if only for his sake.   He seems to be fairly heavily invested in it emotionally.

I read the beginning is a complete rip off of 28 days later though, the Walking Dead comic came out the year after the 28 days later film.

Someone please post a reminder when this gets ready to air, so I can set my DVR.

Don't most zombie flicks run on essentially the same premise?

As far as I know. The dead rise and eat the living. Pretty much the gist of it.

Ya, it's like pizza.  Same with Vampire flics/books.  I can't get enough of it.

This is based on a graphic novel, right?  Seems like I hear I was pretty sweet.  Seems like the last few GN based films have been pretty awesome.  Kickass, Sin City, Watchmen, I know I'm forgetting some ...

its a monthly black and white comic im sure they compile the year or whatever into one volume. im not a big comic guy but i have this comic app on my iphone and ive bought some issues. its nice. given AMCs track record with mad men and breaking bad i hoping it will be good. Frank Darabont (director of shawshank redemption and the green mile) is handling the task of taking the comics and turing it into a series.

Looks amazing. Already greenlit for a second season. That's almost unheard of.

Not a bad read.

Supposedly being optioned for a movie right now and Brad Pitt is rumored to be on board.

Since there are a crap load of different stories, I wonder which he will play?

My lil bro is the one that told me about the movie, he's quite the horror afficienado.  Anyhoos-  he said it's still very early in production and he wasn't sure what Pitt's role would be yet.  He said that book is BA though, so I'm gonna go by his house tomorrow and borrow it frok him.
