April 2012: On the road to winning our second National Championship in a row, K-State's palatial new basketball training facility will be featured extensively on CBS and ESPN. Within days, the #1-ranked prospect at each position will commit to K-State.

Given the spirit of the times, I feel confident in offering the following predictions for the year 2025:

- After an unprecedented 15 National Championships in 15 years, ESPN names the Kansas State Wildcats the greatest college basketball program of all time.

- A citizen campaign to draft Wildcats Head Coach Frank Martin to run for Governor of Kansas fails after it is exposed as a front group run by KU boosters and administrators.

- Frank signs a 25-year extension to continue coaching the Cats.

- K-State becomes a top-50 research university.

I know, I know -- these predictions are awfully safe and bland.  I would have made a slightly more daring prediction that we win the next 50 NCs and become the greatest sports program of all time, but I thought that that might be veering a bit into powerespect territory.
