Buffs

Look very average, I still think this is a game we can win realistically.  I realize they are getting blanked by a defense equipped with real D1 athletes in Mizzou, but they look very much on the same level as the two BCS teams we have already beat.

I agree, but until we win a road game (against a BCS team) I don't think we will be favored to win.

Quite a few similarities between CU and KSU this year, no?

Probably would be more similarities next year after CU fires Hawkins and hires back their old coach Bill McCartney.   I read a post from a CU fan that says he has it from a very reliable source that coach Mac is coming back and bringing Eric Bieniemy with him and that Hawk's buyout is a done deal.   Then another poster goes:  "He'd sure as hell do a better job than Darth Snyder: Era II".  I thought that was pretty funny.  Wouldn't be a bad title for the Football Board either. . . . and photoshop opportunities.

I, like many others here, am no Snyder apologists, but this is triple dumb.  McCartney left the game in 19freakin94!  He's been out longer than he was a head coach.  Not only that but he is far removed from football, not only Keeping Promises, but doing mission work in Jerusalem.  That's the worst idea ever, completely impractical.  Snyder was out 2 and a half years and he stayed pretty connected.  I couldn't imagine McCartney coaching today, it would be an epic disaster.  Those who mock Gill would have a lifetime of material in Coach Mac's first month.

Are any of McCartney's illegitimate grandkids available for him to recruit?  Seems like if they got Sal's DNA in them they'd be pretty good at football    :dunno:

Hey, I totally agree with you.  It would be stupid to hire him, but the man has achieved God-like status in Boulder due to their Co-NC run in 1990 and the fact they were still a great team when he retired.  I'm just sad that we won't be able to chalk them up as an easy W in the coming years since they are leaving the Big 12.  Would be nice to see Snyder actually beat this clown, too  (even though we did tie them in 1993).  Will be very embarrassing if we lose to them in Boulder this year.  I hate CU a lot more than your average KSU fan.
