man. first the chef is nationally recognized as having the best breakfast in the entire state and now this. what a great time to be living in the little apple. soak it up everybody. it's great to be at the top.

yeah. most people who live in lawrence drive to kc to eat. also, looks like they are pretty close to being done with the new cox bros bbq place in mhk. hopefully it's better this time.

I think real. They seem to be pretty set on keeping it top notch this time. Might even finally have bigger portions.

Kind of ruining the fine dining thread, but I had this tonight and it was 1) not famous daves 2) not particularly good

ordered 1/2 slab of rib platter potato salad/mac + cheese + texas sausage samich.  Ribs were not amazing.  Sausage sandwhich good, but a microwaved, non-seasoned KSU Call Hall sausage on wonder bread (that came with) was like 2-3x better.

That Call Hall sausage is pretty legit.  Smoky flavor and all, but come on Cox bro!  When your Bbq has a drive-thru, probably not a good sign.

I thought the ribs were ok, not great but def the best in Manhattan (not saying much).  The brisket I had was pretty bad.  Dry, tough, and not seasoned.  Mac and cheese was ok.  Fries were above average.  Texas Sizzle BBQ sauce was also above average but less than amazing

damn. just remembered that i had this last week. meat-avg. sides-better than avg. MAKE BETTER MEATS COX BROS!
