What prog did you use to build the site?  I have been working in WordPress for a project of mine and they have a widget that can be added to your site that will prioritize content before images/ads.  That way the site content will load before the images/ads bog down the server.  I haven't used it yet, but it sounds like something you may want to look into.  If you didn't use WordPress, your prog may have something similar.

Should help you guys capitalize on the approximate $82/month you are letting slip by right now.

It actually doesn't. Still just something we are talking about. Nothing has been done yet. If the ads slow down the site or interfere in any enjoyment then they will go away. Like fball Casey said, its not a lot of money but should hopefully be something fun to play around/experiment with.

I like the guest idea, but either way ads aren't really going to ruin anything for me as long as its just a couple.

Another idea we are tossing around is an extra service where you can pay pal me $5 per month to get to read exclusive posts were I decry our grid iron performance and recruiting using particularly vulgar language.  NOTE:  Anyone found sharing my vulgar observations to non-paying members WILL BE BANNED!
