How much news?
« on: July 26, 2010, 06:01:57 PM »
How much time do you spend during an average day consuming news via either TV, radio, internet, print, etc.?

I don't read the paper but listen to the radio prob 2-3 hrs a day, and watch max 30 minutes of local (never national) news daily, along with like 4+ hrs of internet news content.

It seems like there's too much news out there these days when I'm spending 6+ hrs daily trying to digest primarily local news. I long for the days when nothing ever happened and ppl were damn lucky to hear about it if it did. :frown: :cyclist:

btw don't include your sports or entertainment news gathering time, that would just be stupid.

When sports radio either goes commercial, Steven St. John talks pugilism, or they talk about the Royals, I switch over to NPR for a bit.  Sometimes I forget to switch back and am all rough ridin' pissed for a while.

10-plus hours/day. Of course I'm paid for eight of those.
