That Texas A&M Game
« on: July 01, 2010, 10:21:26 PM »
Wow, what was that all about?

Part of me (the Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) part) wants to think "Hey!  That's what our team is actually capable of!  When we don't play up to that potential it's because we're lazy, ill prepared, or poorly coached."

The other part is all like "Man, I can't wait for basketball season."

Seriously though, flukerino or what?

We were up 59-0 with 9:48 left in the 3rd quarter. Holy crap.

My emotions were all over the place that game. I was scared to watch at first, figuring we were going to get throttled. Then disbelief. It got better and better. Old Balls pacing the sidelines, kicking ass. Just like old times.

Fluke.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

I was sitting by a bunch of A&M fans in section 19, luckily there was this one Elite smelling dude to my left and we had a pretty good time harrassing the gingers that were beside us.

I was at a wedding with a friend.  There was no open bar but we smuggled in our own booze.  We were wildly celebrating every update on his phone and got strange looks from the sober people.  WE'RE NOT THE STRANGE ONES YOU ASSHATS, YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED OT BE SOBER AT THESE THINGS!  :curse:

Completely forgot how awesome the feeling was at the time until I came across this thread.

First post was made ten minutes into the game.  Thirty minutes later we were first place in the north.

Some other fun reactions(SD absolutely killing it, and Clams goes all Nostradomus on us):

Wasn't that the game that exposed their gay male cheerleaders, something about the road trip to Manhattan revealed them to be particularly "flamboyant".  Someone help me out here...

I remember seeing an A&M fan in the Cat's Closet at halftime looking for a K-State shirt so he could blend in and stop taking crap.

Should be able to cover easily for this game.

Quote
Easy money. K-State sucks.

Quote
no, I know it's first roady but seriously, I will bet the house on this one.

Quote
If we dont win by 17+ i would be suprised, KSU is horrible. They got killed by an average at best tard team.

Quote
Wow we should win by 21 at least.

Quote
KSU lost to freaking Louisiana-Lafayette. This is a gimme any way you look at it.

And my favorite:

Quote
you gotta be kidding me, only 4 points! Against a team that just gave up 740 yards and 66 points to a horrible, depleted unranked tceh team playing a walk-on backup QB? Against a team that gave up as many sacks as they gained first downs in the 1st half against the horrible depleted unranked tceh team? Against team that just gave up ALMOST 200 RUSHING YARDS (Batch 10 ypc and Jeffers 8 ypc) to TCEH??

And we get to play our starting QB, right? Either we win this on in a blow-out or Sherman can't coach! This one will be a rout.

Further proof that god is a KState fan... this was the only game that my wife and I could arrange to get the time off of work for. My hand was literally swollen and my drinking shoes' soles were almost worn out from the amount of craziness I experienced at this game. Oh, and we arrived with 3 car-loads of people and we SOMEHOW found 3 spaces of FREE parking caddy corner to the NW corner of the Bill's parking lot. I considered playing the lottery, but I didn't want my luck to run out... I still needed to get a little bit of tail that night.
We are K-State and we love to hire SHlTTY coaches.

I remember turning it on at half time either expecting it to be close or to be getting blown out.  I saw the score and thought we were getting blown out.  Then I realized the huge number was by our name.  I almost called FSN to complain about their horrific and cruel error.  It was a glorious night.
