If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I'm doing it.

It's going so well, I'm thinking about starting another one, get people to donate twice.

I'm just doing No Shave November.  Movember doesn't make any sense.  They should do it during March or May so they can call it Mustache March/May and at least have some sort of Alliteration tatic.

It is a for a good cause so I'll give it that...

LOL OMG did you read the quote from commenter "SaddleUp Biscuit"??

"Harvey had done called my girlfriend a week before this rucckus started.  I wish I woulda pumped up the fodder bag for him to wither on.  He's a daggum fool for messing with Mr Holts lawnmower to begins with.  They was all drunk when I seen them the week before.  I don't know nothing about no minors except for them guys under the ground in Chili."

This whole story is fishy. First off, you dont be messin with a grown mans beard, thats grounds for a whippin. Second, I know everyone involved here and they were probably all drinkin all day, bunch a boozers.  Knives and Guns? Who brings a gun to a fight and then cuts off a mans hair instead? Bunch of cowards. This sounds like a special mower i bet these hillbillies would marry it if they could.  And the "girl" of the story, she is fictional or she is related to one she is sleeping with.  I know they dont know what they are talking about here, dont comment unless you know the story.-

So, this is what happens when public schools stay underfunded for more than two generations. The comments in particular are... fascinating.

So true. Somebody should try to recruit some of those commenters to start posting here.

Updating and bumping this thread for 2021.

I'm doing Movember this year, and I basically look like Tom Selleck now.  It's getting tough to deal with all this unwanted attention.  Just imagine what this is going to be like by the end of the month when I look like Sam Elliot?!?  :sdeek:

How do you guys deal with this?

I’ve never had the stones to do just the stache, full beard or nothing for me.  Good luck Pete.

Good cause and all that, but I did have a few weeks head start on growing a beard and then shaved it into a stache this weekend.  So far, so good.  I think maybe I should start wearing a newsboy hat or something as well.  Perhaps wire spectacles?  Or, maybe I go the other direction and only wear mirrored aviators and some sort of tactical hat for the month?  Need to think about this some more.

I'd feel really weird with a stache taking a deposition, but on the other hand, maybe Ted Lasso is bringing it back into style.

Think about how the deposed would feel.  That, my friend, is an advantage.

Yes, this also occurred to me. People who don't know you can't usually comment about your physical appearance. Might be very disarming. I think I sent 'clams a mustache pick of mine. He can vouch that I'm a certified chick magnet with stache.

On a related note, the most effective deposing lawyer I ever encountered showed up in jeans and a short-sleeved, tight pearl snap with a can of dip protruding from his breast pocket like Freddie Mercury's wiener. There might be something to this. After all, I'm not the one being filmed...
