I doubt he got sent one randomly

Yeah, random is my word, not his. I don't know his connections, but he regularly gets hookups like this.

i've never once seen anyone watching youtube and swerving all over the road.

Drive down Switzer from 3:15-4:00 and you'll see more teenage girls driving home from BVNW watching youtube and swerving all over the road than you've ever seen before...

in shellshock's defense, if seven saw just one of these, his statement would be true

and that is why mocat is our math expert.

Also, if you're not on board with google glass, then you might as well just resolve to be disappointed in the future.  These things are going to be incredibly common and your friends and children will all be wearing them soon enough.  And soon enough, you'll succumb too.

This kind of cyber integration is incredible and exciting and it's coming fast.

Yeah. I especially love the fact that no one knows exactly where it's going. I mean, I guess you could just use it to watch youtube while driving or take sneaky photos but I don't think we've really begun to see the full possibilities of things like glass.
I've seen some pretty neat articles about how these could be applied in surgeries and stuff.  I mean, when they were first introduced, who would've thought that cell phones would have GPS capabilities?  I think that same bump in  practical technologies that we'll incorporate into our lives with Glass have that same potential.

It's really exciting.  Humans are really great.

I'm not really excited about it. I've played with them as I have a couple of friends that own them. I just don't see the point for the average joe. I can see the advantages of them in technology fields. As a field support engineer, I could use one to stream back to the design engineer while working on a product.

It's not something that I'd want to wear around town. I still think people look like douche bags with the bluetooth ear piece.

Also, didn't you know they were $1500 when you signed up? What was your "pitch" and why won't you just buy them? Maintenance on the 3 series got ya down?

I didn't know the price. I think when I signed up I figured they'd be a lot cheaper. I'm selling the code on ebay for a few bucks, seems to be a few listings for the codes going for $20-50. And yeah, just fixed the back right window on the beamer. Cost me $800. Between that and paying for my daughters new dance costume, a little extra cash wouldn't hurt.

Hang in there dlew.

In the fall of 1999 I predicted to my entire MBA cohort that "within the next two years" we would all have streaming on demand entertainment and network/cable programming would be obsolete as we knew it.  I was certain of it.  I was just off by a couple decades is all.
