regional north american fruit is very strange to me. like sandhill plums. so weird. stick to the big 4 berries has always been my motto (blue, black, straw, ras).

My grandma's sand plum jam from sand plums picked in the Boresh pasture would disagree with you.

in his old age, my father started climbing into random pastures and picking sandhill plums for my mother to make jam out of when driving home from visiting his parents.  he never did this before age 65.
