What really breaks my brain on that one (besides a lot of other things) is the idea that it would be able to rotate back to take off, the thrust profile would wanna push itself so far forward.

and also yes i go down rabbit holes like that video all the time  :Ugh:

My dad has spent his whole life in central KS (outside 1 year in Houston in the early 80s).

He said something that blew my mind that he could think this. We were talking about pro sports teams & he said “I don’t get why KC had MLB & NFL and OKC doesn’t. Is it just because they are close to Dallas? I don’t know why the much larger city doesn’t have them.”

He’s spent 60+ years within 300 miles of both cities & he thought OKC was much larger than KC. It blew his mind KC was bigger.

it is the second largest area of any city that isn't combined with a county after Houston, TX.

When driving on I-44 from Tulsa to OKC you pass a sign that says “Entering Oklahoma City” then it’s 13 miles of nothing before you hit I-35. They did the same annexation along I-40 east of the city.  Tinker AFB is the southeast corner of what most would consider OKC, but city limits go another 12 miles east of Tinker along I-40 that’s sparsely populated.

I have no idea why all of that is OKC. Along I-44 east of town there is probably 20 square miles of land that’s in the city limits & probably has less than 5,000 people living there.

Anyone ever go to a liquidator & but a pallet of random boxes? I really was to take $550 and go buy one just to see, but Mrs. Hamburg would kill me. Not because of the money, but where to go through it.

Anyone else pronounce words differently depending on usage? I do it with caramel. I’ll say “car-mull” apple or “car-mull” candy, but I’ll say “care-a-mel” sauce or “care-a-mel” sundae.

Almost immediately after it went viral, they announced 10% of sales would go to a cervical cancer charity. They had to have had that planned ahead of time. They knew what they were doing.
