I haven't had the time this week to dig into the understanding of the cause of this issue. I am assuming that some mining company was storing mining waste, mumped up, and poluted the river.
If this is the case, they need to basically be treated like a BP in the gulf, imo. Clean, clean, clean, and financially remedy those hurt.
