Hit the links by my lonely tonight. Made the mistake of bringing my fairly new ball. Kicking it around for an hour and a half became painful. I like the general idea of the course and realize that it is not worth devoting money to actually building a course for it. Some of the hole locations were in really patchy spots and made the final shots a bit tricky. It is also quite difficult to get under the ball for really long shots with tennis shoes. If you own turf shoes or indoor soccer shoes that make me more to your advantage. I think it could be a fun occasion for a few people to go out and do. Depending upon when you go, you could actually be paired up with a group of golfers. Ideally, they send you out in 4somes. I don't think that would be very fun for anyone involved. Two footgolf holes per one golf hole. I was able to play by myself and not have to wait or let anyone play through. I enjoyed that part.
Bottom line, I won't go and play again by myself. I will be going with my brother in law sometime and attempt to correct some of the issues I had. I think they put more effort into the first 9 holes that the back nine. 12 dollars is a bit steep and I think they are just trying to capitalize on soccer's growing popularity.
I have more fun playing frisbee golf than footgolf. Frisbee golf is also free. I'd recommend trying it if you have friends that are also interested.
