These rankings seem meaningless.
This is, like, the one piece of good KS news I've seen this year and you do this to me?
Sorry, I don't mean to piss on your parade. Just seems like where you fall on the list could be due to any number of reasons. Maybe you're just a real low tax state, or maybe you get a crazy amount of govment dollars are maybe some lesser combination of both. Meaningless without more data.
But I'll give some news to be happy about: Kansas has a low tax burden and is steadily making it lower because the good people have the good sense to generally elect conservatives. Schools are good. People are friendly. Air is clean. Crime is low. Cost of living is low. Kansas is a great place to live.
