The irony here is that you drink the right wing kool-aid more than any of us drink up the left wing BS.  Republicans (and Democrats for that matter) have no business telling NASA where to focus their efforts.  Let the scientists and the engineers do their jobs, approve/disapprove their budget, and move on.  This is just another case of Republican obstructionism in an area of government that used to be pretty bipartisan.
