It was the coach's fault.

That's what happens when you rely on the jump shot.  Everyone knows that a game like this will happen if you insist on shooting jumpers with 3 seconds left in every possession.  But hey at least it wasn't street thug ball right?  We lost with honor, the "right" way.

Will Spadling has killed us all year as well. 2 points on the day. I could have scored that from the bench without taking off my warmups.

They should have been 0-0 or 0-1, the 1 being a forgivable errant pass to JO for an easy DOB that goes off the rim. There was absolutely no reason to not just get the ball to JO for and easy dunk or layup every single possession of that game.

They were great in the second half when they kept getting the ball to JO. It doesn't matter who is scoring when the offense is clicking. We just sucked ass in the first half because oscar benched JO.

Lasalle shot 68% eFG 1st hf.   JO being on bench didn't hurt that much

What hurt....is when u score 1 lousy point in last 5 min of a nip and tuck game

How many shots did JO block in the second half and how did that affect their eFG?

That is a good point about not scoring anymore once we caught them, though. oscar would coach to score 20 points if he thought we could hold the other team to 16.

As far as being efficient, this was Rod's worst game since Zaga.  Today he was 32.3% eFG and 2-3 FT. His worst showing in the 21 conf games was 31.2% eFG and 2-2 Ft at Ou.

Angel only game in prior 21 conf games with a 0 on FG makes was home vs OkSt.

As a duo their worst offensive showing was at Ou where they combined for just 28.6% eFG (3-14 FGs) and 4-4 FT. Today was 23.9% eFG (5-23 FGs) and 4-6 FT

Just dissappointing to have this game be the worst game all year for this duo

Rodney was having a bad game and played 40 minutes.

Angel was having a bad game and played 36 minutes  and needs to get surgery?

DJamer and Diaz do not see the floor in a game that is the perfect matchup for them?

I don't blame oscar for sticking with our best players. The tournament is no time to play with your line up in my opinion, if anything you tighten it. Our 2 most constant playmakers all year just didn't make enough plays.

I'm not going to defend oscar here because it's not worthwhile, but their were a bunch of factors that came together for us to be upset besides his poor decision making.

Sitting Rodney for Omari or Angel for Will is stupid.
