Love this line

Quote
“He’d come in, get a Band-Aid, a cup of Kool-Aid, and he’s right back out the door to play again.”

Would seem to apply to elite bbs'rs as well.

Perhaps on Kellis, but the Eagle is doing some work:

Kellis on CK: http://www.kansas.com/2010/03/25/1240320/finding-the-spotlight.html

Quote
"Frank said he was going to push me to another level and make me work hard," Kelly said. "I never really heard that from a coach before. A lot of coaches lie and tell you different things. He didn't do that.

"Calhoun told me he was going to make me work, too, but somehow Frank seemed more sincere. He looked me in the eyes, said he wanted me here and this is a place where great things can be grown. He's a man of his word."

Adame on McGruds: http://www.kansas.com/2010/03/25/1240271/mcgruder-becoming-noticed.html

Lutz on Pullen: http://www.kansas.com/2010/03/25/1240293/pullen-learns-to-learn-under-his.html

Quote
"Yeah, there were times I went back to my place and thought I couldn't do it anymore,'' Pullen said. "But the next day, Frank would call me into his office and we would talk about stuff. We did that frequently, whether it was shooting me a text or whatever. He made sure to stay in touch with me so I would understand his reason for coaching the way he did.''

Quote
"He told me before the season that he was the only college basketball player without tattoos,'' Charlotte Pullen said. "He said, 'Do you know what that's doing to my reputation, Mom?' "

However, after reading all this stuff I have come to this conclusion: Denis is going to go off for 30 tonight.

How about JamSam and Dom combining for 25+?   That would do a world of good for our chances.

I would definitely take it.

But I'm of the opinion we will go as far in this torn-a-ment as Denis and Jake take us; our bigs and Dom playing well simply will make things comfortable for us after the under 4 time out.

Don't you love how the KU star has to interview a former KU player in a piece about one of K-States greatest guards.  They just can't let go of the fact KU is out of the tourney.

I just don't think I can take seeing Denis when the buzzer sounds and ksu doesn't win and he's done.  Heart breaking.   :bawl:

More than this 'Zacker, it will be the devastating fashion in which they lose which will cause insult to injury for Denis, Lu, and Chris in their final game as K-State Wildcats. Dios mio!

It'll be even worse once the Kstate Confidential stuff gets released.  :bawl:
