As far as handsome popes go, Benedict set the bar pretty high.

this got me looking at pope pics. jp II was dreamy at 70. i also learned that he was the first non-italian pope since 1523. that fact pissed me off quite a bit. god needs to do a little investigating about who matters and who doesn't when choosing an earthly representative.

I was kind of hoping for an energetic name, like "Pope Lance," "Pope Rock," etc. Guess it wasn't in the cards. That said, we could nickname him "Pope Frank" but that's not really very energetic.
