Best Big 12 Road Trip
« on: January 27, 2013, 12:34:59 AM »
Sounds like the goEMAWers' ISU road trip was eventful, to say the least. That said, what's the best BB road trip for us in the Big 12? Please consider history, bars, hotels, etc. I've always liked to go to KU because I can get tickets, it's a short drive from KSU, they have some good bars and food, and I usually (but not always) get back home the same day or night.

UT.   And that's about the only school I would travel to for a basketball game.

Not gonna lie, that had to be the best trip for a loss anyway. It was rather elite.

Really depends what you're looking for. I can identify good everywhere including Baylor. OU is rough though.

Yes, people don't fully appreciate how shitty Norman is.

If you're going with a good group,  they're all fun places to watch a game and get pak'd.   (Can't speak for WVU or TCU though.)   If you have some idiot with you that gets way too pak'd and starts talking stupid crap, even a place like Boulder isn't much fun.   Waco Kind sucks though, we just always went back to Dallas after games there...

My best B12 roadtrip was to Manhattan last year. Got to chill with my broseph, Winters, and see a Cyclone win. Outside of Lincoln, NE, the only place I had ever seen an Iowa State win was in Des Moines against Drake before I went to Manhattan. Congrats fuckers, I enjoyed your town.

P.S.... Sorry about our poorly placed power plant. I hope it didn't ruin your trip.

I always enjoyed road trips to CU, but now that they're gone, it'd have to be UT.

Missouri is fun and so is UT.

Norman and Lawrence are basically the same stale town with bad food, but good highway access.

Ames and Stillwater are also very similar, neither is recommended but the people are nice.

Baylor is terrible. Lubbock has a nice arena.

Nebrasketball was fun for me, but that was Clemente's senior year when everything was ridiculously fun.  Missouri FB was ok.

Looking for a reason to checkout a Colorado game in Boulder now that I live closer and can't come up with one.  Just a terribly uninteresting team in BB and FB is flat out embarrassing.

KU is playing in Boulder next year for basketball (IIRC).  I might make the trip.
