On one side, the realities of being over officious . . . on the other, the best we've ever had at raising money.

Per MisFitzermation's website, Currie told a gathering that K-State athletics got nearly $26 million in cash contributions last fiscal year.

Now understanding that there are a lot of variables in play.   But that's still pretty good.

Welp, looks like the athletic department pocketed all of that plus another one million from the endowment. (Didn't we make $27M last year?)

I believe the $27 million number last year included pledges to give on capital projects.

Is this the biggest ever in nominal figures or the biggest ever adjusted for inflation?

So, the suites sold out pretty early in the new addition, which means we probably have the cash to finish off the West Side expansion fairly easily and have a jump start on Phase 3.

I'm just telling myself over and over that the reason we're so cheap on running the department is because Currie wants to make it rain on capital improvements so he can get out of Dodge.  That's what I'm hoping for.
