No better than Hayes/Joe Bob/GA promotion.

you're trying to hard to michigancat here imo
Yeah, if it wasn't better than promoting one of them, then they would have just promoted one of them.

We shall see.

Also, the relatively new bar in Aggieville named Eighteen63 is advertising that they are open at 8 am with a full breakfast menu and $3 bloody marys.  Not sure if that is just a Sunday thing or an every day thing.  Just saw it on the sign today.  I am intrigued by this.
Apparently, the chef from The Patio created the menu.  Brunch date next Sunday, 8MP?

 :crossfingers:

I heard it was the head breakfast chef from "The Chef." Doesn't really make sense though, unless he just made the menu for a flat fee and then went back to his work. Either way, Eighteen63 has no business in the breakfast business, IMO.

Do you consider alcohol that has been lit on fire food? If so, they have some pretty good food.

Formerly Campus Tavern, which was formerly The Loft.  Food (other than bfast) is okay.  They have some pretty good specials throughout the week, including $5 bottles of wine that you can schoolyard with your friends.

Also, their "specialty drink" or whatever is the LAX bomb, which is just some liquor they set on fire then put a coaster on it, which puts out the fire.  You lift the coaster, drink the bomb ASAP, and return the coaster on top.  You then take a straw and poke a hole in the top of the coaster, and inhale the leftover fumes.  I don't know if it gets you any drunker, but the ritual is pretty fun.

that was going to be my guess. i felt so bad when i first walked into the loft right after it opened because it looked like a generic chipotle and you were just like good god nobody is going to want to drink and hangout here. you have rinky dink metal chairs and institutional grey paint on the walls with no pictures or anything. went back again a few months ago and it was definitely better. still kind pretty genericky though. am excited for that wahoo fire and ice place. crossing fingers.

Not drunker, higher. The fumes are carbon monoxide, like exhaust from your car. Inhale a little bit, you get dizzy. Inhale a lot, you turn green and die. Pretty fun to watch people try to stick their straws back in it...
