I need somebody who has an uninterrupted hour to read through all this and listen to the podcast and summarize for me.

Geez, a spring away from Martin/Trim does wonders for this kid. Look at that confidence building.  :gocho:

A fantastic idea that soccer fans would be more into than non-soccer fans, but I couldn't think of a better way to crown a true national champion.

I heard this idea while catching up on my podcasts.  Despite the annoying sound drop that Norlander gave us they have cool things to say about KState.  I follow all these guys on twitter, no idea how I completely missed this.  The podcast is nearly 40 minutes long.

I think so, but didn't pay much attention.  Was really hoping to get the summary here.

The podcast was them doing the draw and explaining how the CBBCL works, if you're familiar with the UEFA Champions League nothing was earth shattering.  The biggest :surprised: moments is that they would allow ties (that would obviously never happen).  When you reach the knockout stage you play a home and home.  If both teams win a game you go to total score.  Also they named KSUs group of Ohio State, KSU, St. Mary's, and Washington as the "group of death" which is the most difficult, deepest group.  They didn't get into who would win or anything like that.

just don't think they'd need to do a home and home in the knockout rounds.  why not just do a netural site game.

i've also thought about what it would be like to add minor competitions throughout the season.  mirroring domestic cups in European football the Kansas Cup allows D2 teams to play in to a final 8 that would feature KSU, KU and WSU.  a final four could be played in Wichita or on campus and finals at a neutral site.

I think a Kansas cup would be really smart marketing and would elevate Missouri butthurt to unprecedented levels.

we play teams like Emporia and Pittsburg.  why not make it a little more worthwhile?  it would be nice - the chance to play an extra game against our in state TSC bros and a possible game against WSU to placate those weirdos.

That's what they do now and it produces things like George Mason in the final four.

doubt they would make it out of the group.  but i guess if we are living in the fantasy world that is a CL format in college basketball we could allow ties and 2 game series decided by aggregate score.
