Yacht Master Thread
« on: April 28, 2012, 08:49:47 PM »
So, I know a lot of us here own a yacht. I just purchased my first one (it's a starter yacht: a lower-end Huckins Atlantic Sea-Wagon), and I need some tips on what to do with it.

Also, I need some maintenance tips. I know I need to check the ground tackle, the anchor windlass, the sails and stiching, etc. regularly. Anything else would be much appreciated.

Also, I own a beach house in Cali and there are some great harbors there...anywhere else I should look?

(fans of other school probably shouldn't reply to this thread)

I'm pretty sure we already have a yacht thread.  Start there.

Ferretti 881.  Does the trick.

I always hit Marina Del Ray, it's kind of "home" to me.

I asked fans of other schools not to reply. Please be respectful.

Scratch that.  There is no thread, but there is a poster named 'yacht broker'

Nice. Thanks for the tip carnes. Sorry for calling you another team's fan. That wasn't very nice.

Mods, can we please move this to the Useless Threads board?
